a refined custom-made luminaire spreads its roots across the entire ceiling surface of Lily’s bakery, located in downtown Beirut. made up of 74 brass rods that interlink several shapes emitting light, the fixture emanates the ideal amount of light relative to the volume and function of the space.
following Gregory Gatserelia Design desire to architecturally center the space around a square based column - camouflaged in mirrors from all four sides, the beams of brass begin from the center and spread out onto every corner of the room, creating homogenous and diffused lighting. the fixture is composed of 8 different sizes of diamond shapes accompanied with a single size of cylinders housing adjustable or fixed spotlights.
above the bar area are spotlights meant to highlight displayed goods. these specific lights have special filters that allow warmer light emission on the bar top, alluding to the natural color of fresh warm bread, bringing out their vivid colors. vertical and horizontal linear LED strips are integrated into shelves to light the coffee bar, resulting in an esthetic feel and in functionality.
for optimal comfort, several light scenes are depicted in respect to time and function. different moods are set throughout the day. whether you’re seeking a quiet afternoon coffee or a cozy evening for affairs of the heart, the dimmable luminaire will accompany your heartfelt emotions at any time of day.
