gavi is an Italian cuisine restaurant located in the heart of downtown Beirut. the interior design of the space is quite unique in the choice of colors and circular setup. to bring forward this unique interior style, we have come up with a lighting concept that derives from the spiral structure of tagliatelle pasta, a random stacking of intertwined circles in the ceiling that compliment the circular shape of the indoor space. scattered cylinders light down from in-between the ceiling rods, to provide ambient lighting throughout the dining space. on one hand, the pergolas perching above the tables illuminate the outside terrace as we have incorporated led strips in several parts of them for discrete soft lighting. accent lighting, on the other hand, is provided by a selection of table lamps chosen by Gregory Gatserelia Design.
