ni is a restaurant-cafe located in the heart of Beirut's hippest commercial center. the place offers a combination of several cuisines united in one space. the concept behind Gregory Gatserelia Design in this project is to create an industrial space that also feels like an indoor garden.
in order to bring forward this concept, we have suspended three metal-wired cages in the center of the area, equipped with conventional uorescent batons. given that the ceiling includes apparent ducts and metal structures, the cages blend in smoothly while providing the needed amount of ambient light. over the entire area, adjustable cylinder projectors hang from the ceiling to accentuate the light where needed. above the preparation stations are linear prole that follow the ceiling ow with the purpose of shedding the necessary amount of light onto the cooking counters.
ni’s indoor “terrace” is illuminated with projectors that clip onto suspended pro les hanging from the ceiling. this structure allows general soft lighting around the area as well as accent light directed towards the tables.
