pldc conference
PLDC – professional lighting design convention is a bi-annual conference that is held for the professional lighting designers to have quality interactions with each other and learn about the latest trends and developments in lighting design. it is also a chance to discuss future developments or movements in the lighting profession.
the PLDC lectures are under four-tracks, the first three tracks cover lighting application case studies, lighting application research, and professional practice issues. the fourth track is dedicated to a topic that is currently key to lighting design developments worldwide.
this year this convention was held in rome. nine of Hilights’ lighting designers attended this professional conference.
Hilights also participated in the PLDC conference by presenting the ‘cinemacity in lebanon’ by maurice asso. in this lecture, maurice showed how the lighting designers interacted with the architects, dada & associates, to discuss and intervene with every detail of this project, making it an avant-garde project with unique and new lighting technologies in each space.
